Skin Hello! okay i'm supposed to be finalising my ppt for tmr presentation now but i thought maybe i'll update a short post here! So anyway i'm going to be blogging about my skin. Recently, quite a number of people have been asking about my complexion. it's not that i have super clear complexion or what but it's a great great improvement from before. Just the end of last year, i had an extremely bad break out. it was HORRIBLE. i've always had okay-skin. like no big big pimples, but not perfect as well. i had 3 of it (positioned themselves in a triangle) on my right and 1 or 2 on my left. it doesn't sound that bad right? yeah. but it was SWELLING. bigger than normal acnes. even bigger than mosquito bites. and i tried EVERYTHING. applying creams, trying tea tree oil, squeezing, poking... nothing worked! when i poked and squeezed them, only alot of pus will come out and the swelling goes down but it would just come back the next day. (sorry for the details) i didn't dare go out, take pictures and all that. i was ASHAMED of my face. i wasn't used to it and the more make up i use to cover up, the more obvious it is. it was so bad that everyone asked me what happened to my skin when they see me. gahh, tells you how much difference huh.
This one is edited but you can see how bad the swelling is on one of my cheek
Here's a picture of me this year, CNY (recovering period of my horrible breakout, it lasted almost 4 months)
it's not that obvious because it's the recovering period,as i said, and i had (alot of) concealer on my cheeks.
sorry for only 2 pictures but i really didn't take many pictures during that period.
well, now, my skin is clear of scary acnes without heads. which also led to many to come ask me what did i do. me secret? Dermalogica. it's GREAT improvement. i've been using it for about 6 months now. i still use make up. i still have a little indent on my right cheek but i can't help with that. (i don't know if it's psychological but i do think the indent isnt as deep as before.) Here are some pictures taken this month with a super good cam (friend's, so i have no idea what camera it is!)
Yes, i have to say i still have foundation on my cheeks but no concealer.
SO, now for those of you who were wondering about my skin improvement but didn't ask me for whatever reasons, here's your answer!
oh btw, sleep is also VERY impt. i know it's common sense but it's the kind of advice that goes out of your ear after listening. i had only 2 hours of sleep the night before and it was as if my skin deterioted over the night! i used to sleep very little (not not at all) but i've never really did realise the significant difference. no amount of expensive face products can fix your skin if you don't sleep. okay now, back to work!! btw, not all people will have the same effects using the same products so don't come pointing fingers at me if you choose dermalogica and no great improvement is seen. 0 comments |
