Food? Good evening everyone. i haven't been eating well the past week. so i'm going to be posting pictures of.. FOOD. some are dated quite some time back but its still food (:
THE famous bkk coconut icecream! i remember having 2 servings of it on the same day itself! yumyum
It's so cheap! i can't remember how much it costed but maybe about 1$ sgd? you get a cup of coconut juice, icecream and 2 sides!
Seafood Tom yam soup. The spicy and sour soup with a tinge of lemongrass! i'll never get sick of it. in fact, i usually would droll when i think of this famous thai soup.
Steak from some hotel (not fantastic)
PENANG PRAWN NOODLES!
i don't care if i grow fat cause of this. its AWESOME. everytime my parents buy penang prawn noodles back for supper, i'll have it. i don't care how full i am. if it's this particular dish, I'M IN!
platter from manhatten that mercus and i couldn't finish.
i didn't really like the fact that most of the stuff in the plate was fried though.
SALAD SALAD SALAD! Grilled chicken salad. who hates salad? everybody loves a good salad!
Some seafood. Top layer grilled prawns, salsa, seabass and tons of roe and edamame.
the prawns were pretty awesome but i'm not a big fan of fish so i got quite sick of the sea bass after a while even though it wasn't a huge portion.
Ah, and so anyway, the pictures at the bottom are newer pictures! it was my dad's birthday yesterday and decided to give him a treat at Todai.
How's the food? well my family frequent international buffets quite alot and honestly, i think Todai's a so-so. Given for it's variety of food, cuisines ranging from korean, mexican, italian, japanese, chinese.... i can't remember if i miss out any.
However, what i feel is that in terms of seafood, they do lose out to other 'more affordable' buffets like Carousel. The selection of sashimi is rather limited, salmon were not as fresh, prawns were smaller, the cold seafood was pretty limited with mussels, oysters which were much smaller than other places (only to take 2 per time, you can go 10 times if you like though), scallops, prawns.
They do maintain a competitive edge with their famous free-flow snow crab legs!
Here's my first serving! a rather large portion of pesto. i remember loving the pesto so much i had at least 4 servings the last time i came with louis. it was good this time round but from my impression, not as good as before.
i love their selection of salad though, tuna and potato, CAESAR SALAD (IT WAS SO GOOD I HAD AT LEAST 3 PORTIONS!), apple and cheese etc.
ah, here's the seafood selection. look at the snow crab legs at the back! 1/3 of the legs are sticking out of the plate. the meat's really really juicy and sweet! yum! but i never have too many of them. my brother, however, LOVES the legs of the snow crabs.
see, another portion of salad seen here. thin pizza (not fantastic in my opinion), some salsa scallop thing. garlic bread which was a little sweet to my liking.. and the one in the middle... ROAST BEEF!
IT WAS GOOD! i had at least 5 rolls of that thinly sliced beef. yums.
byebye everyone! 0 comments |
