animals have their rights too! UNFAIRNESS TOWARDS ANIMALS SHOULD BE STOPPED! this morning, anna and i went for a swim. firstly, it was to have some bonding time together and secondly, it's to slim down!! so when we went down, she decided to bring her retriever, creamy, down to 'breathe in some fresh air' since creamy hasn't walked for 4 days. she tied creamy at the corner of the pool and we started our swimming. then after a while, the guard came over and told us that the dog can't be near the pool compound and asked us to tie him somewhere else. WTH! he went on explaining that later they'll be swimming lesson and the parents would complain blahblah!! you get the drift... so without a choice, anna went to tie creamy at the bottom of the stairs away from the pool. and since he cant see anna anymore, he started barking and whining. at the same time, my neighbour aunty peggy, was doing her routine exercise and was at the pool too. She was an animal lover and was trying to calm creamy down. anna gave up and went to walk creamy whereas i stayed behind and talked to aunty peggy. Apparently, she has the same sentiments as me. we both feel that humans are actually the selfish ones. aunty peggy rescues cats and bring them to vets. Her house is filled with cats that were rescued by her. She feeds the abandoned cats at our block and stuff. A true animal lover i would say! well then, we were discussing about dogs when we moved to talking about her cats and how they were rescued. it went on and we expressed our anger and displease we have for the Singapore government, AVA and wellll, basically humans. There's this incident when during whatever flu, Singapore actually killed 20k of cats. Not all of them are strays, mind you. alot of them are just under HDB flats that are owned by uncles and aunties. their ears are chipped (means sterilised) and all. They provide company for the old and the old feed and play with them in return! By just killing them like that, it's just inhumane. Not to mention that these cats have NOTHING to do with the flu! There's another thing about this girl stepped a baby rabbit in the stomach with her heel and killed the poor thing. and the one about 3 guys riding bicycle over a kitten, cases where cats ears get stapled and dogs getting shot by spiked arrows. and well, inappropriate ways of getting fur and stuff. And we don't need to mention about the bears that are tortured like mad just for money. All these are done by the Obviously, blood stained hands, humans. Of course i'm not saying all of the humans (since i'm not one of the cruel peeps) are like that but you must admit that you know alot of people out there that dont give a damn about these animals and stuff. they dont understand that these animals are lives and they actually feel pain like how we do! just for example, you feel pain when you accidentally staple your finger right? Then what about the cats that get their ears stapled multiple times for BELIEVING that the humans want to play with them. Do they deserve it? no, hell no. If you don't like these animals, it's not like they'll stick to you and stuff. In fact, most of them would sense your dislike and go away themselves. just because they are vunerable and all, people take them like some toy and think that pain, is not embedded in them. total bullshit. They can't protect themselves against us, they can't speak for themselves, neither so they know what they to do to relief the pain caused by us. Don't people see how helpless they are? and talking about the pool and swimming lesson, i am further angered! We live in this old condo, paying a maintenance fee of a few hundred dollars and we get a pool, a big carpark, a loser-ish (worse than HDB's) 'fitness corner', a rundown basketball and badminton court. Add a sleeping guard to that and what do WE get? SWIMMING LESSONS CONDUCTED BY THE PEOPLE OUTSIDE and the students are from outside the damned condo too! It was okay before when they only took up maybe 4 hours in the morning and early afternoon. Only half the pool is used so the other half would be free for the Maintenance Paying, Priority Residents to use! and after a few hours the pricks would soon be gone. BUT NOONOOO, oh noo nono! what is it now? they take up the pool every weekend(yes saturday AND sunday) from 9 - 6!!!! the WHOLE pool! And normally after lessons, they would stay back and swimswimswimswim! During weekdays we have school, work and all so most are only able to swim at night. and the ridiculous thing is by TEN we all have to go up for safety reasons! HUH! Then what about us! i told my mum about it and realised that the people outside actually pay a fee of like don't know how much per month, which is Obviously a miserable amount. and the useless guard do not actually check when people come in to swim. He just allow anyone to come in to use the pool. He don't even check for ANYONE who comes in. That's why there was a case of lingerie stealing in my block from a china guy living OUTSIDE the mansion. How dumb is that? so frankly speaking, we're paying a few hundred dollars to have a carpark, run down courts and fitness corner, a pool we can hardly use and a super useless guard! but then again, most of us stay as the neighbours here (all hundred units) are friendly peeps. we greet each other, we gossip like mad and talk to each other when we bump into each other. It's like a modern kampong. And since this is an old condo that has been put up on ENbloc (which failed) have big units compared to the now-units. honest! well, a picture of the lok kok pool (i mean it) and the students PREPARING for their swim. 2 comments |
